Creative juices are flowing
I’ve been a busy girl in the last couple of days. It could have something to do with my treasure map. Well, the motivation to get busy instead of staying under the doona during this unusually cold Sydney weather has to have come from somewhere. Here’s what I’ve been up to:
- I’ve written five blog posts on my website bite by bite.
- I wrote and put up a downloadable list of my top 10 binge-busters for people to print off and stick on their fridges.
- I finally got with the program and joined twitter. I’m @bitebybite.
- I wrote two article pitches. I’m annoyed right now because I’m supposed to be at my writing group having them workshopped, but Dave is not home from work with the car yet, so I’m stuck.
- I finally organised Feedburner for my website, so people can get my posts via email as well as RSS. Ooh, just realised I should do that for this site too.
- I ventured into the online world and started commenting on other people’s blog posts. A couple were ‘professional’ – you know, about binging and stuff, and a couple were just stuff I enjoyed reading.
- I also did something creative but non-writerly, and finished my first tapestry Christmas present. I know Christmas is six months away, but tapestries this size take ages. I can’t post a picture of it because the recipient might be reading this, but let me tell you, it’s gorgeous.
- I did some editing for someone in the family. More of that again tomorrow when I help out Dave with his website upgrade.
Overall, it’s been a fabulous couple of days. I love being busy! My productivity might of course be because I’m anxiously waiting to hear back about a job that I really want – part-time web editor for an awesome non-profit. I had the interview last week … I hate this waiting part. Staying busy keeps me from waiting by the phone.
But no, seriously, I’m very happy with the work I’ve done and what I’ve achieved. I hope the busy-ness continues!
